Amusement and Recreation Attendants
Amusement and recreation attendants' job description at amusement or recreation facility includes performing a variety of attending duties. Job includes scheduling the use of recreation facilities and to provide and maintaining equipment for participants of sporting events. Also for recreational pursuits or operate amusement concessions and rides.
Some of the amusement and recreation attendants' jobs involve the following:
collect fees from customers and sell tickets
provide information about entertainment options and rules and regulations, facilities
keep informed of shut-down and emergency evacuation procedures.
direct patrons to rides, seats, or attractions
ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures
arrange for the removal of unruly patrons, and monitor activities.
To apply for amusement and recreation attendant jobs one may require a high school diploma or certificate. Knowledge of principles and processes of providing customer and personal services is required by the applicant. This includes evaluation of customer satisfaction and customer needs assessment and meeting quality standards for services.
To be able to perform the amusement and recreation attendants' job well, knowledge of relevant equipment, procedures, policies, and strategies is required. For the protection of people, data, property, and institutions, this is to promote effective local, state, or national security operations. In addition knowledge of business and management principles is required.

Tasks
- Provide information about facilities, entertainment options, and rules and regulations.
- Record details of attendance, sales, receipts, reservations, or repair activities.
- Monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures, or arrange for the removal of unruly patrons.
- Sell tickets and collect fees from customers.
- Keep informed of shut-down and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Clean sporting equipment, vehicles, rides, booths, facilities, or grounds.
- Operate machines to clean, smooth, and prepare the ice surfaces of rinks for activities, such as skating, hockey, or curling.
- Announce or describe amusement park attractions to patrons to entice customers to games and other entertainment.
- Fasten safety devices for patrons, or provide them with directions for fastening devices.
- Inspect equipment to detect wear and damage and perform minor repairs, adjustments, or maintenance tasks, such as oiling parts.
