A Bailiff's job description includes enforce courtroom rules of behaviour. They maintain order in courtrooms, guard the jury, patrol the interior and exterior of the courthouse, escort judges, escort prisoners and maintain their custody during court proceedings, screen persons entering the courthouse using magnetometers or x-ray machines and arrest persons when arrest warrants are issued.

They should familiarise themselves with computers and have some knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, internet browsing, email and presentation software.
