Clergy
Clergies conduct religious worship and perform other spiritual functions associated with beliefs and practices of religious faith or denomination. They provide spiritual and moral guidance and assistance to members.
A clergy commands classes or community events, grows educational programmes, counsels clients or patients regarding their private issues, evolves promotional strategies for religious organizations and inspects individuals in their home to provide assistance or information.
Clergy jobs can be found in both faith-based and secular environments. Clergy members are folks who are officers of a religious organization and who are permitted by the organization to carry out marriage ceremonies. Some clergy members lead congregations, but there are clergy jobs in education and military too. Other career options which an individual can consider who wants to pursue clergy jobs are a congregational minister, theology professor or teacher, pastoral counsellor and chaplain role.
The minimum educational requirement for clergy members is a bachelor's degree, although many clergy members hold graduate degrees, like the master of divinity, theology, religious studies or ministry. On-the-job training is preferred by many employers.
Clergy members are usually excellent public speakers, good listeners, and are willing to serve others before themselves. Many clergy professionals speak more than one language.
To be a successful clergy, one should be humble and confident without letting their ego. They should have the ability to teach, counsel and guide.

Tasks
- Pray and promote spirituality.
- Read from sacred texts, such as the Bible, Torah, or Koran.
- Prepare and deliver sermons or other talks.
- Organize and lead regular religious services.
- Share information about religious issues by writing articles, giving speeches, or teaching.
- Instruct people who seek conversion to a particular faith.
- Counsel individuals or groups concerning their spiritual, emotional, or personal needs.
- Visit people in homes, hospitals, or prisons to provide them with comfort and support.
- Train leaders of church, community, or youth groups.
- Administer religious rites or ordinances.
