Coin vending and amusement machine servicers and repairers install, service, adjust, and repair coin, vending, or amusement machines including, video games, jukeboxes, pinball machines, or slot machines.
Coin vending and amusement machine servicers and repairers install, service, adjust, and stock the machines and keep them in good condition. They also fill the machines with products, ingredients, money, and other supplies. Their daily tasks include inspecting machines such as coin vending machines and meters, testing machines and determining to function, replacing malfunctioning parts such as worn magnetic heads on automatic teller machines (ATM) readers, and maintaining records of the machine maintenance and repair.
To become a successful Coin Vending and Amusement Machine Servicers and Repairers, the candidate must pass a High School Diploma or its equivalent, with work experience. The applicant must know about computers, electronics, machines and tools, customers, and personal service with a good command of English.
In addition, the candidate must have abilities to move their hand with the arm, see the details closely, and precisely coordinate the movement of the fingers to grasp, manipulate, and assemble small objects. Besides that, the applicant must be proficient in various software applications such as e-mail software, word processing software, internet browser software, presentation, spreadsheet software etc.

Tasks
- Fill machines with products, ingredients, money, and other supplies.
- Keep records of merchandise distributed and money collected.
- Collect coins and bills from machines, prepare invoices, and settle accounts with concessionaires.
- Make service calls to maintain and repair machines.
- Inspect machines and meters to determine causes of malfunctions and fix minor problems such as jammed bills or stuck products.
- Test machines to determine proper functioning.
- Contact other repair personnel or make arrangements for the removal of machines in cases where major repairs are required.
- Clean and oil machine parts.
- Record transaction information on forms or logs, and notify designated personnel of discrepancies.
- Adjust machine pressure gauges and thermostats.
