Costume Attendants
Select, fit, and take care of costumes for cast members and aid entertainers. May assist with multiple costume changes during performances.
Costume Attendants work in the fashion and textile industry, organizing costumes in the theatre shows. The Costume Attendant Jobs include creating a worksheet for dressing lists, show notes, and costume checks. In addition, they provide dressing assistance to cast members with costume changes, examine the costume fit, design and construct costumes and tailors for construction, alterations etc.
To become a successful Costume Attendant, the candidate must know about fine arts, design, production, processing, and customer and personal service with a good command of English. Also, the applicant must have good technical skills in various software like Electronic mail software, spreadsheet, word processing, web browser software etc.
Besides that, a flight attendant costume must have the ability to listen, communicate, and see details closely to minimize errors. They must have good monitoring, speaking, and listening skills.
The educational qualification required for Costume Attendant Jobs is a High School Diploma with an equivalent certificate and work experience in the respective field. Some career options in this field are - Costume Draper, Dresser, Wardrobe Assistant, and Wardrobe Attendant.

Tasks
- Distribute costumes or related equipment and keep records of item status.
- Arrange costumes in order of use to facilitate quick-change procedures for performances.
- Return borrowed or rented items when productions are complete and return other items to storage.
- Clean and press costumes before and after performances and perform any minor repairs.
- Assign lockers to employees and maintain locker rooms, dressing rooms, wig rooms, or costume storage or laundry areas.
- Design or construct costumes or send them to tailors for construction, major repairs, or alterations.
- Purchase, rent, or requisition costumes or other wardrobe necessities.
- Check the appearance of costumes on stage or under lights to determine whether desired effects are being achieved.
- Inventory stock to determine types or conditions of available costuming.
- Collaborate with production designers, costume designers, or other production staff to discuss and execute costume design details.
