To become a dancer, no specific educational qualification is necessary. One should have an inborn talent for dancing; training and guidance can only hone these talents. Dancers should have started training in dance as early as age six or less.
A career as a dancer in India should possess certain essential abilities of gross body coordination; they should be flexible, possess dynamic strength and stamina and also have the ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support parts of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without fatiguing.
