The environmental science teacher's job involves teaching courses in environmental science. Teachers can be just involved in teaching or do teaching and research.
Some of the environmental science teacher's jobs include the evaluation and grading of students’ class work, assignments, laboratory work, and papers, and preparing course materials, such as syllabi, handouts, and homework assignments. Also, they supervise students’ laboratory and fieldwork, advise students on academic and vocational curricula and career issues and keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
To apply for environmental science teacher job one must be in graduate school and have complete knowledge of Education and training, Biology (knowledge of plant and animal organisms, their tissues, cells, etc.), Chemistry (knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, etc. Also understanding of uses of chemicals, danger signs and their interactions, production techniques, and disposal methods).
To be able to do well as environmental science teacher job, extensive skill, knowledge, and experience are needed. Some on-the-job training may be provided to employees but the job assumes that the person will already have the knowledge, required skills, work-related experience, and /or training.

Tasks
- Supervise undergraduate or graduate teaching, internship, and research work.
- Conduct research in a particular field of knowledge and publish findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media.
- Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
- Evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, and papers.
- Write grant proposals to procure external research funding.
- Supervise students' laboratory and field work.
- Prepare course materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
- Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
- Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
- Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others.
