Fire prevention specialists assess the outdoor fire hazards in public, and residential areas. They enforce fire regulations, inspect hazards, and control measures to prevent them. They look for fire code infractions, and conditions that cause wildfire risk. They also recommend ways to prevent any fire mishap. The fire prevention specialists also conduct patrols around the center to report the fire conditions.
Their daily tasks include relay messages about emergencies, accidents, and fire hazard conditions to the department, conduct wildland firefighting training, estimate sizes, and characteristics of fires, findings to base camp by radio and telephone.
To get fire inspector jobs, one must have the passed High School Diploma followed by a Bachelor’s Degree in the respective field with previous work experience.
