Inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh nonagricultural raw materials or processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications.
Manual tester job description includes examining products and materials for defects and quality checks. They measure the dimension of products using instruments such as rulers, gauges, and micrometres. Also, they notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems.
Their daily tasks as product sampler jobs include include monitoring and reviewing information from materials, and events, inspecting equipment and materials to detect the cause of errors, record operational or production data. In addition, they must work with a team and group to evaluate the structures and materials.
The skills that are required for product sampler jobs are quality control analysis, knowledge of raw materials, mathematics, machines, and tools, critical thinking, active listening, judgement and decision making. - Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications.
- Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
- Mark items with details, such as grade or acceptance-rejection status.
- Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Analyze test data, making computations as necessary, to determine test results.
- Collect or select samples for testing or for use as models.
- Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials with color charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards.
- Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs.
- Read dials or meters to verify that equipment is functioning at specified levels.
