Management Analysts
Management analysts conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. This includes program analysts and management consultants.
A management analyst helps address various organizational and managerial problems. They collect and analyse data about the company, find ways to improve the organisation's efficiency and profitability and present their recommendations in graphically illustrated reports, for better clarity and easy understanding.
Management analysts work with clients from commercial, financial, industrial and governmental sectors. The job inherently involves creative problem-solving, analysing large volumes of data, data visualization and data organization.
Entry-level management analyst jobs can be obtained with a bachelor’s degree, though employers prefer candidates who have a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and previous experience. Common fields of study include business, management, economics, accounting, finance, marketing, psychology, and computer and information science.
Management analyst salary in India is often high and better success rates often lead to higher earnings.
A wealth of diverse critical skills ranging from technical (including quantitative modelling, infrastructure management, data mining and business strategy) to interpersonal (strong communication and presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills) are required.
Management analysts' career involves travelling frequently and may therefore experience stress when trying to meet a client’s demands, often on a tight schedule.
A successful management analyst is one who is intellectually curious, thinks through tough problems from different angles and makes the client better at what they do.

Tasks
- Gather and organize information on problems or procedures.
- Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding.
- Confer with personnel concerned to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures.
- Develop and implement records management program for filing, protection, and retrieval of records, and assure compliance with program.
- Review forms and reports and confer with management and users about format, distribution, and purpose, identifying problems and improvements.
- Interview personnel and conduct on-site observation to ascertain unit functions, work performed, and methods, equipment, and personnel used.
- Document findings of study and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.
- Prepare manuals and train workers in use of new forms, reports, procedures or equipment, according to organizational policy.
- Design, evaluate, recommend, and approve changes of forms and reports.
- Plan study of work problems and procedures, such as organizational change, communications, information flow, integrated production methods, inventory control, or cost analysis.
