Molding Operators are responsible for setting up and operating machines that shape plastic or other materials through injection molding. To pursue this career, one must have completed a High School Diploma or equivalent with a previous work experience in this field.
The daily tasks of a molding operator jobs include setting up and designing and cores to aid the production of quality standard products, inspecting products for defects, reading specifications, blue prints, time settings that are required to mold, form, or cast plastics.
To become a successful molding machine operator one must have good technical skills in Official Suite Software, Spreadsheet Software, CAM Software etc., with knowledge of raw materials, production process, algebra, arithmetic, and calculus, with good command of English.
