To be eligible for the role of a physics professor, an aspiring candidate should earn a degree in physical science or a related discipline. Mostly, postsecondary physics teachers have a Ph.D. in the relevant field, though some colleges may require only a masters degree. Technical teaching certification and tutoring experience with familiarity with different teaching styles are advantageous.
