Political Scientists
Political scientists study the origin, development, and operation of political systems. They explore topics like public opinion, political decision-making, and ideology. Also, they analyze the structure and operation of governments, as well as various political entities, and may conduct public opinion surveys, analyze election results, or analyze public documents.
Becoming a political scientist requires performing major tasks like disseminating research results through academic publications, written reports, or public presentations, teaching political science, developing and testing theories, and using information from interviews, newspapers, periodicals, case law, historical papers, polls, or statistical sources. They can also indulge in identifying issues for research and analysis along with interpreting and analyzing policies, public issues, legislation, or the operations of governments, businesses, and organizations.
To become a political scientist in India, one ought to complete education in subjects like Law and Government, including knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process, Education and Training- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, History and Archeology-knowledge of historical events and their causes, indicators, and effects on civilizations and cultures along with Sociology and Anthropology-study of group behaviour and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, cultures, and their history and origins.
For a successful career as a political scientist in India, you must have skills like speech clarity, good communication, critical thinking, active listening, and being friendly.
