What is textile material? A material that is used in textile or garment. A presser job description involves duties like hanging, folding, packaging, and tagging finished articles for delivery to customers, operating steam, hydraulic, or other pressing machines to remove wrinkles from garments and flatwork items or to shape, form, or patch articles and straightening, smoothing, or shaping materials to prepare them for pressing.
They are bound to remove finished pieces from pressing machines and hang or stack them for cooling, or forward them for additional processing and finish pleated garments, determining sizes of pleats from evidence of old pleats or work orders, using machine presses or hand irons. Textile materials candidates must be a high school diploma or GED certificate holder. Along with this, previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed to carry on this job’s role.
To be successful in textile material production, one must possess the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
