Real estate brokers operate real estate offices, or work for commercial real estate firms, overseeing real estate transactions. Their duties usually include selling real estate or renting properties and arranging loans.
A real estate managing broker’s job description involves executing contracts of real estate to clients. They prepare sales or other contracts and also negotiate prices or other sales terms. Moreover, they supervise sales or support personnel and appraise property values.
How to become a real estate broker? Well, no specific degree is defined but pursuing subjects of economics, business, finance or accountancy may give you an edge. To practice broking, a real estate broker has to pursue a state-approved real estate sales course, get trained and pass the licensing exam. Once they are certified, they get ready to work as real estate agents.
They find jobs at property management groups or broker houses or through sellers and buyers of real estate. The help of a property broker, real estate broker or a realty advisor is needed to buy or sell properties in a big real estate market. Broker houses hire these real estate brokers on commission or as full-time employees and offer them five-six digit real estate broker salary.
To be successful as a real estate broker, one should be dedicated and practice integrity. They should have great communication abilities, proactive with the sales process, should know their zone and local area of working in detail and be client motivated to help them get the desired property within their budget.

- Monitor fulfillment of purchase contract terms to ensure that they are handled in a timely manner.
- Compare a property with similar properties that have recently sold to determine its competitive market price.
- Act as an intermediary in negotiations between buyers and sellers over property prices and settlement details and during the closing of sales.
- Generate lists of properties for sale, their locations, descriptions, and available financing options, using computers.
- Maintain knowledge of real estate law, local economies, fair housing laws, types of available mortgages, financing options, and government programs.
- Check work completed by loan officers, attorneys, or other professionals to ensure that it is performed properly.
- Arrange for financing of property purchases.
- Appraise property values, assessing income potential when relevant.
