A recreation worker's job description includes enforcing rules or regulations, organizing recreational activities or events, gathering information to provide services to clients, promoting products and services of programs and monitoring recreational facility operations.
To qualify for a recreation and fitness worker, one must have a high school diploma or relevant degree. In addition, it is desirable for a camp worker to be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and some first aid training. Summer camp counsellors or jobs are seasonal mostly in summer.
