Self-Enrichment Teachers
Self-enrichment teachers teach or instruct individuals or groups for the primary purpose of self-enrichment or recreation, rather than for an occupational objective, educational attainment, competition, or fitness.
Self-enrichment is the technique of growing one’s academic and mental resources. Education enrichment programs encourage students to learn through different methods on a wide array of subjects and activities, such as engaging in projects and activities beyond the pages of a book. Self-enrichment education teachers engage with students in ways that increase their soft skills, curiosity, fun and self-improvement. These programs are carried out through different mediums such as classroom teaching, one on one or group discussions and engagements.
Some education enrichment teachers coach students with useful life skills, such as cooking, personal finance, and time management or group instruction intended specifically for recreation, such as photography, pottery, and painting. Many others provide one-on-one instruction in a range of subjects, playing a musical instrument, singing, chess etc. and academic subjects, such as computers, literature, foreign languages etc. in a non-academic setting.
To demonstrate proficiency, however, self-enrichment teachers may be required to have formal training in disciplines such as photography, music, art or dance where specific teacher training programs are available. The self-enrichment education teacher's salary is commensurate with their experience.
To be successful in free online self-enrichment courses, one should be articulate and expressive with the talent for making the subject interesting. The ability to explain and instruct students at a basic level with passion and patience is important as well, particularly for teachers who work with younger students.

- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Conduct classes, workshops, and demonstrations, and provide individual instruction to teach topics and skills, such as cooking, dancing, writing, physical fitness, photography, personal finance, and flying.
- Monitor students' performance to make suggestions for improvement and to ensure that they satisfy course standards, training requirements, and objectives.
- Observe students to determine qualifications, limitations, abilities, interests, and other individual characteristics.
- Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injury and damage.
- Prepare students for further development by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks.
- Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
- Enforce policies and rules governing students.
