Operate or tend machines to bleach, shrink, wash, dye, or finish textiles or synthetic or glass fibers.
Textile Bleaching and Dyeing Machine Operators are responsible for activities such as bleaching in textile, add dyes, water, and chemical solutions to silute and strengthen solutions. They notify the supervisors, and mechanics regarding the malfunctions, adjust equipment controls to maintain specific heat, tension, and speed, and observe display screen, control panels to determine if the equipment is working properly.
What is bleaching in textile? It is one of the steps in the textile manufacturing process which is carried out by means of chemicals selected to the chemical composition of the fibre. It removes the colour from the clothes. The people who are assigned for this job are called textile machine operators.
To pursue a career in bleaching in textile must have knowledge of production, and processing, chemical composition, transformation, and process, public safety with technical knowledge in ERP, Powerpoint, Excel, and SAP.
The skills that are required in this field are - operations monitoring, coordination with the workers, arm-hand steadiness, oral expression, and comprehension, and ability to see the details closely. To become a successful dyeing machine operator, one must have passed a High School Diploma with Bachelor’s Degree and work experience. Tasks
- Add dyes, water, detergents, or chemicals to tanks to dilute or strengthen solutions, according to established formulas and solution test results.
- Notify supervisors or mechanics of equipment malfunctions.
- Adjust equipment controls to maintain specified heat, tension, and speed.
- Observe display screens, control panels, equipment, and cloth entering or exiting processes to determine if equipment is operating correctly.
- Prepare dyeing machines for production runs, and conduct test runs of machines to ensure their proper operation.
- Monitor factors such as temperatures and dye flow rates to ensure that they are within specified ranges.
- Start and control machines and equipment to wash, bleach, dye, or otherwise process and finish fabric, yarn, thread, or other textile goods.
- Examine and feel products to identify defects and variations from coloring and other processing standards.
- Record production information such as fabric yardage processed, temperature readings, fabric tensions, and machine speeds.
- Test solutions used to process textile goods to detect variations from standards.
