Weighers need to have a high school diploma to be eligible for the job salary of a checker. Basic skills in arithmetic and statistics are needed and previous experience in related fields is preferred. Knowledge of filing and good computer skills are desired traits along with good writing and communication skills.
To be successful, weighers should be able to control and operate a number of equipment or systems such as word processors, weighing machines, and measurement instruments.
